Coursework
Please use the navigation menu to access three specific pieces of coursework I have completed for my Master's Degree in Education. The 'Action Research' section describes a small-scale experiment I designed to help demonstrate how learning Latin vocabulary improves English vocabulary. The 'Research Paper' section describes a research paper I wrote concerning several historical/legalistic controversies over the Pledge of Allegience in the classroom. The 'Lesson Plans' section describes a series of rigorous STAI-format lesson plans that I actually implemented in the classroom. All three pages contain download links containing the appropriate papers/projects in their entirety.
One other piece of coursework that I must include but best speaks for itself is Wik-Ed, a Wiki-based internet project that several colleagues and I created for an Education Technology class. It has evolved to perform many different functions for Teacher Corps-related activities and reflects several philosophical/educational principles hashed out through much ongoing dialogue. Although my contributions (including parts of the Jackson municipal assessment, the logo design, and experimental vector-text articles) have effectively ended due to other concerns I have chosen to pursue, Dave Molina continues to nurture the project in and I have every reason to believe it will flourish.
